A limited edition sauce crafted using a selection of our homegrown peppers, Chocolate Habanero, Orange Habanero, Cayenne and Ghost pepper along with Orange and Cardamom, with our signature base recipe, lacto-fermented in our home kitchen. The ultimate storm of flavours, this sauce rounds out rich earthy and floral heat with tropical undertones.

Throughout 2024, we turned our back garden into a pepper farm. Before harvest, we had 25 fully-grown pepper plants, which yielded 5 kg of peppers to work with! This sauce was born from our excitement to create something new with peppers that aren’t easily available on the market in the UK.

The original idea was to highlight the chocolate and orange habanero peppers, thinking of names like "Jaffa Hot Cake" or "Hot Chocolate Orange"—exceptionally imaginative, we know! We even considered adding chocolate or cocoa powder to the blend, but decided it might be a bit too unusual for our launch. Instead, we leaned into the idea of showcasing the variety of peppers in this sauce.

To avoid overwhelming the palate, we went for a 50-50 split between peppers and a mix of fruits, vegetables, and aromatics. This way, we ensure you get the spice from the myriad of peppers without an unrelenting wave of capsaicin. We hope this sauce echoes elements of one of our earlier creations, "Surtr’s Elixir," with its Bhut Jolokia (Ghost) peppers, orange, and cardamom.
